He is a FAA retired inspector - he was an Operations inspector meaning he was involved with the flight crew members (pilots, First officers, recurrent training, check rides, etc) of the air carrier we were assigned to.

While I was an Airworthiness Inspector (mechanics, repairmen, manuals, etc) on the same carrier.

If you remember - you and I were on a certain thread and you said you don't always follow the manual and I replied with the FAA position of following the manual in aviation is required and certain bad things can happen when the manual is not followed which started a string of replies, good and bad.

Yes I do remember the thread!

If I remember I said and I quote
"A manual is just another man's opinion"
Unquote.

Either you have no vehichle inspection sticker on your truck or slower traffic needs to be in the right lane.

Lol! No I was trying to get my speedometer in the picture. I was in my work van doing 80 and that guy cruised by like we were standing still. I haven't seen 90+ in the "how fast do you tow" thread.

I wasn't feeling like causing an accident so I didn't try again.

And yes it was a 1/2 ton Chevy.

WOW - To think I was a nervous wreck when my Silverback FW was equipped with 4 Trail Express tires and are now gone. This guy is (and others like him with similar rigs) having 2 more tires to worry about and at that speed - I am glad he is not in my lane. I give guys like that plentry of room when I am on the road.

People are crazy. A half ton pulling a fifth wheel that big doing 90. A huge accident waiting to happen. That truck had to be way over loaded.

No worse than driving down the road while taking a picture with your cell phone! As for the OP, did you ever think of trying to help the guy by telling him his safety chains were not connected?

Yep, just another delivery from factory to dealer.

(Now you know what happens to your dream rig before you take delivery!)

Probably the same guy in the Chevy forum saying his truck is a hunk of junk - the transmission is wrecked, brakes are shot and it's less then a year old!
