What's your zero to 60 time with your trailer?
Just read this article https://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/auto...mDD?li=BBnbfcL. In case you want to take your rig to a drag strip, these are the results you might get!

I would say it is a statement of how strong the drive train is....
It is the Ecoboost 2.7, they tuned and are getting way more power and torque than the original design, doing a drag race with 8000lbs+ trailer (above the towing capacity) and if you notice, the rear wheels are kicking when he accelerate, which adds a ton of additional stress in the form of dynamic loads...
Good that the weak link is in the U joint and not in the transmission....

This is true but this is only short term abuse.

I really enjoyed that video when I saw it.
But it scared me.
I had to call my brother and ask if he had seen it. Yes, he had, one of my nephew's showed him. Uhoh. We now know what the kids on the farm will be doing.....

I can't tell what my zero to 60 time is. Every time I put the hammer down on my Tundra in "beast mode" pulling a 9,000 lb 8528RKWS fifth wheel , the front wheels come off the ground and I get scared.

Regular acceleration would have faired better for the driveshaft, doing that 2200 rpm hole-shot doesn't help at all on any of the 3 trucks. Who in their right mind brake torques their tv to 2000 rpm?

I deleted that cause it was pretty stupid to buy that too...but I was in my early 20’s
It was fun. Cop caller as it didn’t move till about 2500 and any pressure on the throttle took it to 4500. I got pulled over several times for exhibition...most were really nice once I splained the stall. I think some just wanted to check it out.

I really don't know, and I REALLY don't care.
I drive for economy and longevity of my vehicle.
Those aer both inconsistent with speed and rapid acceleration.

I had a trans am that sounds similar. Cops always were watching out. I keep telling my DW I want to build something but maybe in the next few years.

I can't say I race with our trailer, but I do tend to surprise some cars next to me when the light turns green.
