I do not think any of our FORDS can even be shifted unless we have our foot on the Brake ???

Never heard of an interlock between gear shift and door locks. Most vehicles have had the brake pedal/gear shift interlock for years.

My toad is 12 years old and doors auto lock when coming out of park and auto unlock when selecting park. Been around for a long time. 2004 Saturn Vue.
