I have 700lbs TW and have to use the 1000lb Equalizer (they don't make an 800). Great combo.

Not to mention, if 1175 is your estimate, you could easily go over 1200 based on packing fluxuations. If you call Equalizer customer service, I'm sure they would recommend the 1400.

Finally, the 1400 would protect you if you decide to upgrade in a few years.

My lacrosse spec said 875 tongue weight. So I put my 10k hitch on that I had.
Only to scale out at 1150 lbs. With nothing added gear wise.
Upgraded to 14k..works gr8!

All I can say is amazing !!!! used the new equalizer 4 pt hitch for the first time and it towed perfect had 25/30 mph cross wind and never missed a trick no sway at all not even with Tractor trailers passing. For two years I have been battling my Reese duel cam with no success so if your on the fence about this hitch I agree with most others get it. It makes towing a pleasure and hitching and unhitching is really easy Thanks for all the good info on this forum you people helped me make my rving more pleasurable and safer.
