Why did you pick that COLOR for your truck

Campfire question

I am not asking why you chose a Ford, Ram or Chevy
I am not asking why you chose a 1/2 or 3/4 or 1 Ton SRW or DRW
I am not asking why you chose a diesel or gas engine
I AM asking why you chose the color of your truck.
For me, I chose white because I like how it does not really show dirt, scratches, dents and dings as bad as a darker color. It just seems so much easier to keep clean and looking nice.
Also I like how it looks hooked to my TT which has the almond color exterior.
What about you?

I chose my truck's color (silver) because I didn't want to wait for 3 months to get one that had exactly what I wanted on it. Silver was the only color available that met my "wants" within 500 miles.

I don't obsess over color and don't really care if it matches my TT or not. As long as the color isn't "Mustard", "Pumpkin", or "Chartreuse" I'm good.

I chose my truck color because I thought it was one of the best looking colors on this body style of truck. It took me 3 months of searching the used market in 2016, but once I found it, I snatched it up. There aren't a whole lot of trucks in my area with this color, and that's nice too. Every truck before this one has been black, and I love that color, when it's clean... which is hard to keep that way. Blue is slightly easier to keep clean, and the metal flake pops.

I chose mine because the price was right and it was a King Ranch. The fact that it matches the camper is a bonus! color is never a determining factor for me. my wife disagrees.

I picked it because some jackninny at the factory painted it that color.

I reluctantly chose white, because all the other colors my truck was available in were ugly shades or grey, or colors so dark they were hardly recognizable. I would have chosen a real color like medium blue, green, orange, or yellow, but these days those colors are extremely rare. I don’t want a shade of grey or red that looks like 95% of the vehicles on the road today.

You'd have to ask my truck's original owner.

Chose mine because it kind of matches the camper (brown, but Ford calls it Caribou). We ordered this one so we could get exactly what we wanted. 49K so far and still going strong.

Same as here. I spend all my driving time inside and don't see the outside. If it looks like everyone else's so be it. Sometimes being "ordinary" in the highway can be an advantage. Less chance of some nincompoop alongside you being so enamored by your "unique" truck he stares at it while passing and ends up causing an accident.

My late wife disagreed.

I was a firefighter and disliked common truck colors, like silver, white and especially black.
So I bought a Sunburst Orange Avalanche, because it had the color of fire in it and it wasn't common.
When I replaced it with my current F150, the closest color I could find, that had the colors of fire in it, was Sunset Metallic. In sunlight, it is a dark orange. In shade, it's red. It too is not a common color.

Color was way down on what’s important list, tow capacity, payload, diesel, heated seats, we live in the south so a lighter color worked. Truck was on lot at reduced end of year price.

I wanted another blue truck like our Patriot Blue '02 Dodge 1500 but they didn't have a colour like that. The 2019s do now. I went more for the appearance package (blacked out) than the colour itself, but the granite crystal looks better than the silver to me or the black they had previously. The red they had in that package at the time looked nice as well.

Silver Birch, Paint Code WA 926L, (basically a light metallic gray). It was the only 3500 on the lot, and equipped the way I wanted it, so I took it home. No regrets!

That's what I tell people about my "touch of gray" in my beard when I can grow one.. And that it makes me look smrt'r..

As for the truck color, it was what they had on the lot that fit my needs.

I picked my color because of the name: Lead Foot. Now we even call the truck Lead Foot (the TT is called D-Bud).
