You are correct. Even if the 3 vehicles have identical ball-heights, they really should check each vehicle for proper weight distribution. My main point in the post was to indicate that grabbing a different link in the chain is not enough. More effort is required for a good setup.

rvb,
Yeah, maybe you get lucky, and a different ball height, combined with grabbing a different link gives you the right setup without adjusting the head.

Sounds like we all agree that each person will need to check their individual setup. Each may or may not require different setups.

The Blue Ox has no head adjustment so the only 2 factors are ball height and WD bar tension...which might possibly give the BO (and any others that have no head adjustment) an advantage when swapping between vehicles.

and if you can't get close enough swapping, you could go w/ a setup that would allow you to share brackets on camper, bars, etc, and just get a separate hitch for the extra vehicles. As an example:

one of these https://www.amazon.com/Eaz-Lift-4805...6MB0MAZZ0Y46XS

and one of these per extra vehicle.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...f_rd_i=desktop

saves $ over buying complete WDH and no re-setting up; each vehicle could have it's own hitch head set up ready to hook up and go.

the Anderson may be a good solution also, I don't know enough about it or it's adjustability.
