Windy ride back from storage

Picked up the trailer (Surveyor 192T) on Saturday from storage. About 30 minutes away by the main highway. My word, the wind was wild! I purchased a new 2013 F150 Scab (v8 5.0) and was looking forward to a nice smooth pull with it compared to the smaller Ford Ranger I was using last year, plus had hoped for better gas mileage. The Ranger pulled it fine last year, but sure sucked back the gas like crazy and worked a little bit to stay at highway speeds.

Got on the highway and boy were we pushed around. Not to the point where it seemed dangerous or unmanageable, just felt it now and then. I'm sure if I was in the Ranger with that wind, I might be saying something different. Would have been nice if that wind was behind us, but I think we were going right in to it.

I don't think it was a fair test of gas mileage with the new F150 due to the extreme high winds, so I will figure that all out on the next trip out.

Nice to have the trailer home again. We missed our weekend driveway camping (for when we can't actually get out somewhere).
