Y'all made me do it!!

10 days after y'all held me down, beat sense into my amazingly thick (but immensely cute) skull, I followed your advice today.

I have tried to trade trucks via my old buddy salesman, but he just couldn't find me anything. Dealer in Little Rock had a zillion on the lot, and I went to look at one.

And one followed me home.

2016 GMC 3500 Denali DRW...........white of course.

Payments less than my old one........which I've had for two years almost exactly, and made payments on......but the new payments are $20 less!!! Yes, I added back the two years and started the note over, but the truck is newer by 2 years too. 32,350 miles on the old one, and they gave me a bunch more than Edmunds said it was worth, and came down a ton on the new one. I asked if it was stolen........but apparently they just want to sell more vehicles than anyone. Guy said they had 2,258 vehicles on the lot at that time. I guess now it's 2,257.

Fuel mileage on way home (45 miles) was about 1 mpg less than the 2500. Rides fine, I can't tell it's a dually......just a nice smooth ride.

Next........find a hitch! B&W Companion (don't need a slider any more) coming up!

Before long, I'll have to change everything about that avatar picture!!!!

Wow you went all out. What does the yellow tag say? Are you still going to stick with the smaller light fiver you would looking at in the other thread or are going bigger. LOL

The yellow sticker says "43,204,298 imperial pounds per tire"........

I figure I'm ok.

If THIS won't pull/haul/tow it, I give up.

I don't remember, actually.......I did look. I think the Payload about 4,800 lbs. RGAWR was.......um.......um........97XX?

Awesome! Mines much older, but I love my 1T dually and it's made my pulling experience much more pleasant. I feel in complete control of my train 👍

Congrats on the new truck!

Now here is another issue to consider! What is the gross trailer weight plus the gross vehicle weight rating; not the towing weight of the two. Per my drivers Licenses I am only allowed to tow a combined load under 26,001 LBS gross vehicle weight. I know that my combined weight of my trailer and truck are under 26,000 LBS. This is one reason I have stayed away from the new trucks as this would put me over 26,001 LBS.

Numbers from door panel:
Cargo Capacity (payload) 4,750
GVWR 13,025
FGAWR 5,600
RGAWR 9,375

And someone help me understand this.......the tires are E rated 17" tires.......and printed on is the weight rating.......but it says, for each tire "3025 single wheel/2835 dual wheel".

IF (???) that means that those tires would equate to 6,050 if on a SRW vehicle, and 11,340 if on DRW vehicle, then I guess I understand it. I'm assuming (?) the latter, meaning that the tires @ 4 each are rated higher than the RGAWR, meaning they should be fine.

Right? Wrong?

What a beautiful truck , I wish I could of found one here in Indiana but after looking for over 4 months and not wanting any payments I settled on a 2013 F350 with only 1013 miles on her and was able to get the price I wanted so no payments . After having her for over a year no I still find my self looking for a GMC

Now that you mention it...nope, never heard anyone complaining about their truck pulling too well, or being able to carry more weight than they needed.
