To be quite honest I haven't heard the name Kelly in 35 years, since I was kid and putting them on muscle cars (because they were cheap at the time and we smoked them off at every stop sign). That said, I'm not sure of their reputation, or their manufacture, today.

IKR! Had N50 Kellys on a '73 camaro that would just about pull the front wheels. Could do it with wrinkle walls, though. What fun, when you're young, dumb, and full of .... well you know!

Here they are:

Kelly Tires | Home

There's a Goodyear tire plant in Freeport, IL. If I remember correctly, it was a Kelly facility until about 20-25 years ago when Goodyear bought it. I don't know if Goodyear actually bought out Kelly, or if they just bought the plant.

No kidding. Feel like I just stepped into a time machine. I believe they were Kelly Superchargers. Great fun turning them into smoke with my 68 Camaro.

Verified from the Kelly Tires website - they were absorbed by Goodyear back in the early 90's.

I would think that the Michellin tires served you pretty well to last 7 years, It's not the miles it's the years that took you to start cracking.
