Docking Lights not working - 2016 Charleston 430RB

I'm posting this a little ahead of any major troubleshooting I need to do to figure out why my rear docking lights on both sides are not working but I am out of town without the coach and just figured I would check through the forum to see if anyone has experienced this issue and may already know the fix.


I have done the simple things like replace the bulbs, check the fuse and checked to see if power is getting to the sockets. New bulbs (MR-16 type) did not work, no power using meter to the socket, fuse checked and looked fine but replaced to be extra sure, still no power to socket. Both seem to be on the same fuse.



I guess the next check will be to check for power to and from the fuse, then power to and from the switch to rule out a bad switch and then continuity check in the wiring from the fuse to the switch and then the switch to the rear sockets; not exactly sure how to check that with a multi-meter since I won't be able to put probes on both ends of the wire(s) to each bulb, thoughts?

Did you figure out the problem with the docking lights? I'll add your discovery to my notes in case I ever find the same problem.

Unfortunately I have been so busy with our move from Maryland to Tennessee that I have not had time to troubleshoot it. Moving is such a pain!
