Kitchen slide

Hey all! Having an issue with our 2016 charleston 430 bh. Our kitchen slide is pulling out on its own while it’s parked. Has anyone had anything like this happen or any ideas as to why this is happening? What can I do to fix this?

Thanks,
Brian

Should be the same as mine which is a 430RB, Kitchen slide is pushed and pulled by 1 Hydraulic ram and guided by cables, so could be the ram or the port on the pump. Check for leaks in the line/fitting of the hose, and check the pump to make sure the valve is all the way closed. Hoses are color coded.

Gorlof,

I had this issue on my Berk. It was the piston & anti-creep valve (they should be changed as set).

Did you change it out yourself? Where did you find the parts?

Changed under warranty. It didn't appear to be difficult, just ready to catch the hydraulic fluid that will spill (not much). You can get the parts from FR. Contact & tell them what you need along with your VIN.

I just changed my hydraulic cylinder and anti creep valve on my 2018 Berk XLT. Not difficult at all as long as you have the correct wrenches and take accurate measurements of the position of the nuts on both ends (ram and where it mounts to the frame). Took about 1 1/2 hours. Minor amount of fluid lost.
