Well we finally pulled the trigger after much time and research. In the end we went with a late model 2013 Birkshier. They made some upgrades to the later models as they did the Charlestons. Where very happy and cant wait to hit the road. We pick it up mid next week. We'll post some more thoughts after being on the road a few days.
Thanks for all the info and feedback from everyone.
RV safe everyone.

I actually just ordered a 2014 Berkshire 390BH and below is a list of the changes that I got from the dealer.

-Optional wood accent dash insert.
-Full porcelain tile entry step well...used to be black metal.
-Flex Steel L-shaped sofas in select floor-plans.
-Stainless appliances.
-Hardwood cabinet trim throughout...used to only be wood in the passenger side slide cabinet trim.
-Molded bath sink...under mount now vs. mounted on top of cabinet.
-New booth dinette (larger with a solid surface Corian tabletop).
-Full coach HDMI ready. No more co-ax.
-Larger TV's
-Residential refer option on all floor-plans.
-Stack-able Washer/Dryer option on all floor-plans.
-Larger tires 275 vs. 255. This is due to the increased GVWR. They went up to 32,000lbs from 28,000lbs which gives you another 4000 lbs of cargo carrying capacity.

Hope this helps...

Like the wood dash, looks to be the same configuration as our. Just makes me wonder if we could purchase from FR or their supplier and swap our out. Maybe a question for Randy at FR?

How does the new HDMI upgrade work? Did they put a HD video box in so all the TV's get HD from what ever you have selected? Also do all four TV's work off the select box or is the ext tv separate? I heard that the ext tv is not hooked into the video box so u can't watch directv outside. Is this true or do you have any insight on how it all works.

Thank you

Jason

Right now I have 2 cable boxes. 1 box for bedroom. The other for the 2 in living room and the 1 outside. So you have to watch the same channel on those 3 tv's.

Does it still have a video source box? If so is it a four tv output? Sorry to keep asking questions, but my dealer was not sure when I asked them these questions. I use directv and usually bring one dvr and it will show up on all my TV's. same channel of course on all three, just wasn't sure if the new one will be the same as my current coach. I've read that earlier models ext tv was only used for antenna or cable and would not receive signal from inside coach ie. DVD or sat rcvr.

Thanks again for the info! Definitely helps...

I asked about that when I was at the factory last week. All the MH Berkshire's that I looked at in production had 255 Goodyear tires on them. Is the 275 a upgrade? I'm not sure what model year I saw but I looked at several that where still being assembled and they where GY 255. If they did go to a 12000 steer axel with 275 they made a great choice and made a great MH even better. Did they drop the 340 HP 2500 transmission? That is limiting them to 330000 GCVW. I can't imagine not upgrading to get the extra Gross weight. I would love to see your yellow sticker when you get it. Nice coach congrats on a good choice. With all the extras and the larger tires you will love your new Berkshire.

Phil57,

Spoke to randy yesterday at FR with some questions about my coach being built and the tire size and GVWR was one of them. He stated that it all depends on what the weight of the coach comes in at weather or not they go withy the larger tires and GVWR. He did state though that the 390RB's are the heavier coaches and they are putting the larger tires on them. He once I got my vin # from my dealer he could check my coach and see what the weight is and tell me which route they went.

Did you order the 360 HP?

No, ordered the 340HP. Was going to go with the 360, but after test driving one with the 340 I didn't see a reason to go with the 360 since it felt quite powerful especially since I'm used to my gas motorhome! Also most of our trips are close or not through mountains or hilly areas so that was another reason to not upgrade.

If you google 2014 charleston, there are a few dealers with them and shows quite a few pics. They too have the optional residential fridge from what I see in the pics.
