Unhappy New Charleston-Rusting Screw Heads

In our new Charleston which is barely 6 months old, I have noticed multiple screw heads on the door, basement storage and various other places are rusting. Any advice on what to do about this? Can the rust be removed and painted with something to stop it? Would this qualify as a warranty claim to be replaced? Should I purchase stainless steel screws and replace them myself? There are already rust stains forming. Thanks!

Your best bet would be to replace them with stainless steel screws. These would not be considered a warranty issue. I've been going around my coach and replacing them as needed.

I would contact Mitch, who is the customer service/warranty rep for Forest River Berkshire and Charlston coaches. His phone number is 574-295-2117, and his email address is mwirt@forestriverinc.com. It wouldn't hurt to contact him and see what he says.
Good luck.
