Proper charging techniques

Do you leave your unit plugged in over the winter when not in use? Is the Charleston designed to properly charge the house batteries without a battery tender? Or do you just charge it up and then throw the disconnect switch? I've heard different opinions and would love to hear what others do. I keep mine in a heated garage and have access to a 30 amp plug.

Be careful, on many rigs, throwing the battery disconnect will prevent the converter from charging the batteries. You need to check the voltage at the batteries and confirm that it is 13.3 or higher.
