Almost didn't Go- Carlyle Lake

Didn't think we were going go be able to use our reservations for Carlyle Lake from Thursday -Sunday. We live about 90 minutes away and have never made it there.

Suddenly things changed and we were able to go, we couldn't get ready to leave until Friday morning, but so glad we actually got to go. This was our spot for the weekend. Exactly what we needed, watching the lake, a campfire and I may have had a few adult beverages.

Pipe Down about this place......Its hard enough to get reservations as it is! NOTICE: Any Prospective campers, please refrain going there They just drained the lake. The smell of dead fish is awful. We will be there Thurs-Fri this week. Its going to be the pits.

Seriously, Glad you made it. Its a great spot especially if you live in STL.
