Agree that Hacienda is a very nice RV park, but we prefer the big shade trees, grass between sites, private shower/bathrooms, and walking distance to a grocery store at Sunny Acres. It's hidden behind an RV storage lot and next door to a mobile home park, but it is nicer inside than its surroundings. In mid-winter, when we are there, we don't want to pay for a swimming pool that we can't use anyway.

The choice really depends on how long you will be staying in Las Cruces and how many of the amenities you will use. Take a look on-line at the amenities and photos of each park before you decide.

We prefer Sunny Acres also. Yes it is an older park but it has huge trees and is not right on the Highway. We chose there because we were staying almost a week.

That said if I was jus passing through I would probably stay at Hacienda for the ease.

DKRITTER Thank You! I followed your lead and all went well. There are a couple miles of construction on 62 around Lubbock but the rest was easy sailing. Were at the Carlsburg KOA and just did both Roswell and Caverns NP on 285 in the car. It was fine. Maybe they redid it since you drove it, but it's good to go, good pavement and little traffic. Don't know anything about north of Roswell or south of Carlsbad.
