Heck, even when we don't have the camper we've gotten in the habit of packing a picnic lunch. Just as long we aren't on a tight timeline. It breaks the trip up and the food on the menu is always good!
We do that also when it's just the two of us but we still have grandkids that like to go to McDonald's.

I remember travelling with my niece when she was little....she could spot the Golden Arches miles away!

McDonald's has great breakfast sandwiches!
They are ok in a pinch. a quick Egg McMuffin an, an insole hash brown with a watered down OJ is ok at the drive through but I'd rather go to BE's and sit on a cushion and be waited on over sitting on blow moulded plastic and eating out of a cardboard box (at the same price point).

At one time years ago, McDees was a bargain. Not any more. I think McDees is in cahoots with Morton Salt from the amount they use.

I used to like the'Square Fish' sandwich too but as of late (last time I stopped at McDees), the square fish gave me the poops real bad. Cannot justify buying the sandwich and then blowing it out 10 minutes later.

No digestion needed. Eat and go... literally.
