Balmy Louisiana

Thus weary traveler found a spot to sleep at the Natchitoches Walmart. Yes that is snow on the ground. 25 this morning and all local schools shut down. Added some shots from home too.

Heard on the local news that the city of Austin, TX is pretty much shut down this morning due to the winter weather delivering a layer of snow.

It's been a cold winter down south this year. I am sure glad I replaced the old HVAC systems in the house this last Nov. Our Dec and Jan electric bills have been in the $550 range, but that's a whole mess less than $900 and up in propane a month.

We didn't get really none of that over here in the northeast part of the state. Had some light snow yesterday and cold wind.......but that was about it. No accumulations.
