Beavers Bend State Park in Oklahoma

We're considering stopping at BB for a few days and would like to get any recommendations if you've stayed there. I see they have about 4 seperate areas to reserve but they don't offer any park maps specific to the RV areas.

I've also read some posts indicating the roads are in fairly bad shape and lots of low hanging trees causing roof damage. That's been a year or so back so I'm wondering if that has been corrected.

Travelok.com you should be able to find map, we drove through last summer to ck out sites, lots of trees but we did not notice anything that would cause a problem, busy in summer, we definitly want to camp here. It is beautiful!

We have spent Thanksgiving week there the last two years. We love this park and will be going back for sure. The reservable spots are down by the river and they are really nice. Not much problem with trees and some are pull thru right on the river bank but high enough not to cause a problem with high water. We have stayed up the hill from there in the first-come sites. The sites are nice and wide but the road is narrow and not always easy to get into if you have a long trailer. Some trees are low but generally don't cause a problem. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the reservable sites.

This past year we went to the casino in town. We play the slots just for fun but for the first time I came out a winner. Over the course of two days I came out ahead $1400 and DW took them for $300. Not a bad trip for us.

Thanks for the feedback. We'll have to schedule a visit this summer.

As far as the slot machines, I typically donate but have fun anyway.
