Thumbs up Best On The Miss. Gulf Coast

We are planning on spending a couple of weeks on the Mississippi Gulf Coast in February 2014.
Would like to stay in or near Gulfport, Biloxi, Bay St. Louis etc.
Any recommendations of a good campground would be welcomed.
We are driving a 32 foot Class C.

You might look into Buccaneer State Park also the Silver Slipper Casino had a campground right on the beach.

...

Silver slipper this time of year very windy, blows the door out of your hand and everything off of picnic table.

Buccaneer state park is very nice and all new; both in Bay St. Louis

Several campgrounds around Gulfport & Biloxi none special

Check out the Gulf Islands Nat Seashore park in Ocean Springs, very nice, close to everything but first come/first served only.

Cajun RV in Biloxi is nice. Right on main drag close to everything. Trolley stops right out front.

Isn't Majestic the one on Pass road? If its the one im thinking about it struck me more as a trailer park than rv park.

Majestic Oaks is an RV park with all hard surface roads and pads. Pretty nice place to stay. Yes, Pass road. Stayed there in a Georgetown. Google "Majestic Oaks RV Resort MS"

We've been to the Silver Slipper twice, mid Feb 2 and 4 yrs ago.
Very quiet, pretty (LOTS of white sand) and no wind either time???
I don't remember the price but felt it was good.

We would stay there again but will stay at the Hollywood this Feb. IF we get to go.

Buccaneer State Park as recommended above would be great other than in winter.

I disagree about Buccaneer, it is great in the winter months; because of all the trees (especially toward the rear of the park) it allows you to get out of the wind. And to those who haven't been there yes it gets very windy during the fall winter and spring because it is across Hwy 90 from the beach and the Ms. sound.

We stayed at Buccaneer this past spring. Loved it - has fire rings, full hookups, clean bath houses. Lots of things to do. I've stayed there and Cajun. Cajun is ok - but closer together and you really feel like you are "parking" and not camping. Buccaneer is my choice. Silver Slipper is right across from the beach and is just sand, no trees. Again, parking feel, not camping.

Stayed at Buccaneer for new years eve. Great place. Not sure which loop but after passing office and wading pool you would veer left and go past the 2 worker residences and go into the loop under the oaks. Train track is pretty close and busy but you get used to that after a while. Stayed in our 40ft 5ver and plenty of maneuvering room.

We are heading to Buccaneer this Thursday through Monday We are going to try out a different loop - have reservations for sites 100 and 101. Not quite as many trees - but I'm sure will be great! Weather looks like it is going to cooperate as well.

Let us know your thoughts on Hollywood ... we haven't stayed there yet, but are planning on it sometime in the future.

We have reservations for Buccaneer State Park near the end of May. We've never been there, but love the whole Gulfport/ Biloxi area and that park in Waveland should be just perfect for us.

We're really looking forward to it.
