Branson Ridge RV Resort
Does anyone on the forum have a membership to the Branson Ridge RV Resort? What is the cost and what are your thoughts about the park? Is it worth the cost? Thanks

Been there.
Heard the high pressure sales pitch. Politely asked to think it over in private. Salesman informed us you must take the deal now. I left the sales pitch immediately The price quoted was so ridiculous I would never consider.
I did enjoy my 4 days of free camping.
The place was average.

Thank you. That's the kind of input I'm looking for.

You didn't say what they quoted you but what might be ridiculous to you may be peanuts to somebody in a Newmar, Prevost or Tiffen. These membership parks are still popping up so there are lots of people with money that the cost is trivial for and they get some exclusivity because not everybody can go there. Just like the Motorcoach Only resorts, if you don't pull in with one of the above coaches you are undesirable. I personally see those motorcoach only resorts as discriminatory since they aren't membership resorts just private campgrounds that can let in who they want or keep out who they don't. As an Undesirable I'm good with public parks and non-discriminatory campgrounds.

we've found that in over 100,000 miles of traveling, campgrounds, rv parks, over the first five years of our 'camping' life that the term 'resort' mean little - we've seen 'resort' rv parks and campgrounds that have less amenities than other 'normal' campgrounds, and it also certainly does NOT mean that you'll necessarily feel as though you're at some type of 'resort'!
There's no law that requires parks and campground owners to label their businesses accurately, certainly not by any standards that make any real sense to the public. It's all over the place.

I don't think this park is a particularly fancy 'resort'. We stayed there years ago before it became a membership park. We go to Branson quite a bit so I'm interested in people's opinions that have membership and used the park in recent years.

You need to checkout Treasure Lake RV Resort in Branson. Great place and no high pressure. You can get the 3 night 4 day free stay here to check it out and it is not high pressure at all. Free stay is not available during holidays. After you get your membership, dues are 180/year and camping is 8/night. Amenities are great.

Is it worth the cost? no....
Have you read some of the reviews? It is a timeshare with costs that never go away and the 'resort' (cough) it is not....

Sell you ours for $5000, way less than what we paid 2 years ago.
Just don't use it enough, also comes with Abita Springs membership

Quoted us above $16,000 plus annual fees. Just plain stupid for the way we travel. Campground was in need of major repairs.
Went to same sales pitch at a place in Pass Christian Mississippi. Quote was less than $5000 for exact same company. Still does not fit the way we travel.

Went there a couple of years ago, definitely high pressure sales pitch. It's a campground like any other. I didn't see anything special about it and not what I would call a resort. Have heard many good things about the previously mentioned Treasure Lake. For us there are so many campgrounds in the Brandon area to choose from, I see no need to limit ourselves to just one.

Thanks to everyone for your input. It sounds like it is a little pricey to be practical for us. I agree there are a lot of nice parks around Branson to choose from.

The State Park https://mostateparks.com/park/table-rock-state-park is a very nice place to stay.

Been to Branson a handful of times, with and without the trailer. Most, if not all of the private campground leave a lot to be desired. In my option in the only place to stay is the new arm of the state park. Full hookups, internet and Concrete Sites for 28 a night.

Hi All,
Good morning. Just another day in Paradise.... I live about 2 hours North of Branson and have some good friends that have been members of Treasure Island for several years and love it. A great location in Branson, close to the shows and food.
Have a great day,
F
