On your way back consider stopping at the Custer Battlefield. It is near the WY, MT state line, not at Custer state park. I found it very interesting. It might change your view of a bit of history.

I agree about Custer State Park if you have time. It was quite a few years ago we were there but I remember a very pretty park with Mountain Goats, Bighorn Sheep, "wild" donkeys, and Bison herds.
