Campground ideas in Austin area?

We live 40 miles North of Waco, and my wife's friends live by Temple. Every year we pick a campground and go together. This year I want to make sure it has some sort of place for the kids to swim at. We are going the weekend of June 12th. Doesn't have to be a state park, but I would like something nice. Anyone have any ideas. I don't want to drive 5 hours, but I don't mind driving as far as Austin area.

I'm looking at McKinney State Park, but I am scared that it will be super packed.

Or Guadalupe River State Park.

La Hacienda is just out of Austin, we stayed there a year or so ago.....no children with us so not sure about the pool. Very nice place. ...good and level. We would recommend it and do

Just outside of Austin near Johnson City. I haven't stayed there but drive by it all the time. Miller Creek RV Park. Guadalupe RV Park is nice. Inks Lake is a great place with the kids.

would highly recommend Inks Lake State Park. It is scenic, has lake swimming, and they rent canoes, kayaks, and pedal boats.

Inks lake is great, but it fills up quick during summer. We made reservations for June, but we are checking in on a Sunday. It is a constant level lake with canoe and paddle boat rentals. Hope you can get it. Check ASAP.

Inks lake looks really great. However, I just checked online and they don't show any available sites....

I just check La Hacienda. It looks like a really nice park. I don't know if it will fit what we are after though. We are looking for something that we can stay in the park and have fun. It looks like we would be leaving the park to go to the lake.

I also looked at Miller Creek and Buckhorn lake resorts. They look nice, but not quite what we are looking for. The Buckhorn lake resort is kind of tempting, because of all the activities in the area.

I just noticed your crawler. Lots of places around if you're bringing it.
