CG close to Goshen/Elkhart Indiana

I need to take my trailer to the factory for some work. Is there a state park or a cheap camp ground close to the factories ? I checked the KOA at Middlebury but at 45bucks a night and current gas prices, I would prefer a good state park for 18-20 bucks a night. if the price is right I am planning to stay a week having spent the money for gas already

Any recommendations are welcome

Chain O' Lakes or Potato Creek State Park would be the closest state parks. try Elkhart Campground, Eby's Pines and there are 2 in Shipshewana
also look at the Elkhart County Fair grounds. let me know if you any links or more info.

Is May 27-29'th a special day in USA ? The CG's are booked solid that weekend ... I was hoping to stay that weekend too ...

Monday May 30th would be Memorial Day in the U.S. National Holiday, in honor of our troops. Long week-end, and for a lot, first trip out.

Now I have a weird question, if your trailer is at the factory being worked on, how are you going to camp in it?

It is a day job .... They preferred to have it brought in. Drop it in the morning pick it up later on ... I know it will be inconvenient but oh well

Thanks for the recommendation ! I searched through the reviews and found a nice big site at Chain O'Lakes state park ! Looks like it is a very good state park.

I will be coming with my adult son, is there any interesting stuff we should not miss while we stay there for 6 nights ? RV Museum is in our list already. Any Aviation related museums in the area or within a few hours of driving distance ?

you will enjoy Chain O' Lakes, try this link for museums in the Auburn area.
DeKalb County Museums
Auburn is about a 45 minute ride from the campground.
I have not been to any of the museums in the Auburn area so let me know how they are
