Just throwing it out for people looking for a trip in the summer. After a rain is the best time to find as you can walk around and look for what Mother Nature exposes for you.

We went there. Not too bad. Didn't find anything there though. It was a hot day . Good luck if you go . I think only one is found every day or so. You have to be the lucky one to find it.

The wife and I just finished with our plans for a two month trip to the grand canyon in April and as luck would have it we will be staying in Little Rock for two days on one of the legs of our trip. I just told her about this and we both agreed that this would make a nice side trip since it is less that 2 hours from where we are staying in Little Rock. Thanks for the info.

They "seed" the mine every so often. The surface layers have been churned and turned over so many times that the original diamonds are pretty much gone. They are deep in the pipe.

An 8.52 carat diamond was found at the park just a couple of days ago. Here's a link to the story.

I went there while in college at SIU with a bunch of guys and tent camped. Found no diamonds but got a heck of a buzz. Good time had by all!
