Fall Harvest Festivals/Halloween Camping

With August fast approaching, thought I'd send out a reminder to people in Michigan that several of the Fall Harvest camping weekends are starting to fill up! Was up to Hoeft SP and they had only few openings left as of 4 Jul. State Park Hosts Bill and Mary Lou stated they will be at Channel Campground in Muskegon again this year for that fall harvest, 2nd weekend in October. For those who know them, they are the ones who for 10 years built up Fort Custer SP to one of the top Harvest Festival camping weekends in the state of Michigan. Just wondering how many others have their reservations in for September/October already. What do they offer at your yearly festivals? (You might think rushing fall here. But, this is Michigan and finally the last of this year's ice melted off Lake Superior just before Memorial Day week!) Mary Lou said they will have activities for all ages, plus their annual site decorating contest. Last years winners received a two night paid stay at the park!
