Liberty Hill and Oak Park, both at Lake Navarro Mills and both are COE parks, are two of our favorites. Lake Whitney State Park is at the top of our list also.

We usually camp at Wright Pattman during Thanksgiving.... This year we will be at Milwood Lake. Go figure.

All excellent suggestions! Thank you! I will be taking in a couple of these parks before winter really hit's here. It appears at least one other person had the same thought as me and tried to localize parks by state. Figured we had a good start, why not keep it up and post your favorite Texas statewide parks here. Just a thought.

We've somehow turned into resort people. Before that we really enjoyed Lake Livingston SP, Inks Lake SP, Garner. Now our favorite is Stella Mare Resort down in Galveston. Jellystone Waller seems to be the kids favorite.

Eisenhower SP-Lake Texoma

Located on the south shore of Lake Texoma just north of Denison. Very nice, full hookups, heavily wooded campsites. The Bois’d’arc loop is for RVs. Surprisingly it is still filling up on the weekends. The fall foliage s/b good right now.

I suggest you go to the sub-forum On the Road | Travel Chat - Forest River Forums, click on "Search this Forum" and enter the name of the state in which you are interested. Two-letter state abbreviations won't work. This is not perfect since it requires members to put the state name in their posts... but most will.

Cool

There are many beautiful State Parks in Texas and we have visited many of them but never stayed at any.

That is one of the reasons we are looking for a TT so we can experience them closer!

That park is closed due to flood damage.
