No, but we've been a few times. I used to live pretty close to there. Is something special happening there then??

November is usually a big one with the weather cooling down. Couldn't get my reg RV spot, was moved to way in the back. We go spring and fall. Taking daughter and 2 yr old granddaughter for first time. Just a little excited. ;0)

A recent edition of Texas Country Reporter had Canton Trade Days in the top three flea market type places in the state.

We attended trade days about 5 years ago, neat experience to try at least one time!

Yep. If you're looking for something particular, you can find it there if you look long enough. Its much bigger than many realize. Most hit the pavilions and arbors only. That's about 25% of it. Much more if one is willing to cross highways, streets and lots.

That's correct - be prepared to do a lot of walking and have a lot of time if you want to see most of it in one day.

Walking! Thats why we go in spring and fall. Way too hot in july, aug and sept for all that walking. This time i get to hang out with the grand daughter while wife and daughter "walk." Aha.

We are thinking about going up on Sunday. We went the first of this month and camped at Mill Creek. Stayed from Thurs-Sun. Didn't have to rush when we were looking around since we spent 3 days there.

Good deal. We‘ve been staying at old mill market cg for years. Not much to see there but has big 3 hookups, walking distance to much of the area, free evening singing at outdoor theater on the "mountain" and the free trolley turns around at the cg.

you can rent a power chair now...and plan on making more than one day of it!
We're planning on going sometime soon...not next weekend unfortunately

Good advice- some other advice:
1. Bring more money than you think you'll spend.
2. Wear comfortable walking shoes
3. Bring Tums if you plan on eating some of the many offerings.
4. Think twice about bringing small children and/or pets.
5. See #1.

Last time we went we parked in the parking lot for rvs. Yes it was crowded but so close to walk to pavillion and then go back to eat and rest then go again. My friend had her little scooter since she has lung disease and her husband made a trailer to attach to scooter out of a dolly with a boat seat attached so he could ride with her (bad knees). Then after everything closed down she and i rode around and figured out where things were so the next day we knew just where to go. Very big place need several days and out back from pavillion you could find lots of stuff and cheap plants.

That's a great way to get around there - take a couple of days if you can and don't try to see everything in one day.

Most of the best stuff is away from the pavillions. That's where all the good personal stuff is. Not the commercial junk and every other vendor selling three dollar socks and t-shirts.
