First trip to Door County, Wisconsin

Hi All,

We plan on taking our Georgetown 370TS on our first long trip this week. We are planning a stop around Utica Illinois for 1 night and then on to the EAA convention at Oshkosh, Wisconsin. We also want to go alittle farther to Door Country. Any ideas about that area ? Thanks

What can you say about Door Co? Beautiful. We stayed at Wagon Trail Door County Camping - Wagon Trail Campground which I would recommend. There are woods between the campsites and the campsites are staggered so you cannot see your neighbors. No sewer but they have a honeywagon if you will be staying a while. Have fun at the airshow!

Try looking through campgroundreviews.com for parks near the cities you want to stay. I fear if you haven't made reservations that you may be out of luck as this one of, if not the biggest EAA fly in next to Fun N' Sun.

I always wanted to go but have never been able. Kind of like Sturgis for bikers, or Moab for Jeepers'. Perhaps when I retire. Have been to the EAA fly in here close to home at Arlington WA many many times.

Have fun and please please please post pictures of the cool aircraft. Myself and many other aviation enthusiasts would love to see them.

Thanks Backin15 and NWJeeper, it has been so hot here in the mid west, we are looking forward to the cooler evenings they are having up north. I'll definitely check out Wagon Trail and campgroundreviews.com. By the way NWJeeper, just had my shim pulled last Thursday. The coach is much leveler and seems to drive better. Got 90 lbs of air all around, not 110. I know that helps also. I've been to Eaa at Oshkosh many times, it is AWSOME !! Never camped though. Their campground is huge and I do not think will have trouble there. Thanks everyone!!
