Fontainebleu State Park -Louisiana

Fountainebleau is a South Louisiana park on Lake Pontchartrain. Most of the sites have electric/water. Some have sewer.

You can get in for half price if you live in Louisiana and have a Golden Age National Park Passport. 3 days cost me about 50 bucks.

Biggest problem: Summer temps can reach 100ļ with accompanying humidity.

Hey, where did my photo go? It was there earlier. Too late to fix tonight. Maybe tomorrow.

WiFi in this park is quirky. Access to regular photo hosting spots like webshots, photobucket, flickr, etc, is not allowed. Go figure.
Pic is gone this morning. I have checked other hosting spots and access is denied.

We have visited seveal LA State Parks and they are all GREAT! The prices are very reasonable. We will have to add Fontainebleu State Park to our lists. It is hard to consider driving through back through Baton Rouge on a Friday though, the traffic is so bad going East on I-10, but it looks worth it.

You could come around on Hwy 90? Is that possible?

Hey the photo is back. That is taken on the way into the park, near sunset. Beautiful old live oaks. These remind me of an Edgar Allen Poe poem.
