Gulf Waters RV Resort

WOW. We pulled into this place for 16 nights and it is pretty dang amazing. Port Aransas/Mustang Island. It took about 20 minutes of maneuvering with their resident trailer spotter to get us into the spot, but it is worth it. Just 100 ft of so from the beach. Wife says we're not leaving and will have to buy one of these spots.

We are on a waiting list for a snowbird spot in FLA .....we joked it would be easier to just buy the spot and get it over with - no more waiting !

We were on a waiting list since July of last year for this spot. They called in December and we jumped on it.

We stayed there Thanksgiving 2017. Crazy nice. We heard that bare spots start at around $100K if you want to buy. Don't recall seeing any sites that didn't look like someone already owned them, though.

We walked around today looking at the sites that are for sale. They range from $150K for simple to $210M for "deluxe". We already booked for some more weeks this April and all of March next year.

LOL - ya, $210K. Where I used to work, we always used M for thousand and MM for million - old habit.

I thought it was my secret

This place is great. You pay a little more, but well worth it. My wife and I are just 3 years in to this ( we love it ) and wish many other rv parks would take a lesson from this park.

I was there Spring break 2017 and it is indeed a beautiful park and close to the beach. We will go back. Now for the cautious warning. Our truck was robbed while we were asleep. According to the local police, they have frequent breakins when people leave their trucks unlocked (I'm guilty). Usually 2 or 3 locals will come in the back beach entrance and walk the park streets looking for unlocked vehicles. They will empty the console, glove box and under seat. If you have a GPS or TPMS they'll take that too. The night of my breakin they got 3 vehicles including one just across from our spot. Still a good and safe park, just be diligent with your vehicles and pers.prop.

We stayed at Gulf Waters for a couple of weeks last March. The spent February and March staying at various places along Padre Island from South Padre to Port Aransas to get a feel for the area, and Gulf Waters was are a favorite place. We really enjoyed the Texas Coast, cheaper than South Florida, and tons of nice people, but Florida is warmer in January, February and March.

Just had another thought about Gulf Waters RV. We rented a golf cart and it's the way to go for beach cruising. If your renting one just be sure to rent from the company they recommend. Price is the same as others and the catch is that it's the only rental they allow in the park. If you arrange in advance it will be waiting for you at checkin.

Depends on site - standard, deluxe or premium and also length of stay. Ours was $55/night plus electric.

Totally agree. There is some serious money here in terms of trailers and Class A's. I counted at least 12 Newmar pushers.
