Agree, but when we leave Harbortown and head over to South Bass Island, Put-In-Bay it will be a much shorter driver..

Thanks...

You will not want to stay at Detroit Greenfield RV Park. It has many trees and tight spaces. No grass and lots of mud on the sights. Your best bets are Harbor Town ( very nice more like a resort ) or Haas lake ( more of a camping experance )

We stayed @ Detroit Greenfield RV Park last fall,,, it was the closest for us coming from SW Michigan,,, it is between Ann Arbor & The Henry Ford,,, about 25 minutes from THF !!! There are a few grasses camp spots,,, away from the trees,,, dirt - Leaves - and the lake !!! We only need a place to crash,,, because we were going back to THF again the next day,,, so it was fine for us !!!
There is also Camp Dearborn,,, which is not in Dearborn,,, it is about 35 to 45 minutes North !!! Both offer Camping/THF discount tickets !!!

4 weeks from today and we'll be at Harbortown RV Resort. Really looking forward in spending several days at the Henry Ford Museum & Greenfield Village.

We're stopping for the Ford & Greenfield...then staying in Ypsilanti @ Greenfield RV park about 23miles west. Plan to do Ann Arbor from there too.
We'll be doing that on the way to the Frog Fest.
Will be interested to see your review of what to avoid & what not to miss!

You will enjoy both. About a day and a half at each helps. Also you can go to Fairlane the family home. Have been to Dearborn twice!
