How about Houston campgrounds?
Anyone stayed in Houston, particularly near the MD Anderson Cancer Center? I am heading that way for cancer treatment, and we need some place that is near MD Anderson.
Right now we are looking at South Main RV Park ( South Main RV Park) for our TT, but am open to other sites if they will be better suited for us. The doctors are saying the treatment will take 3-6 months, so I would like to find some place we actually like, versus some place we can just tolerate.
Any help/recommendations appreciated.

Sorry to hear about your illness. Hope things go well for you. I will say a prayer for you.
Try looking up campgrounds on this web site;

Hope this helps.

I have not stayed here personally but look at Almost Heaven RV Resort in Manvel, Tx it is 18.5 miles from Houston. I read an article about MD Anderson and one of the patients interviewed was staying at this park and commented on how peaceful it was. I went to their website and they stated they give a discount to medical patients. Sorry to hear of your illness and hope your treatment is successful.

I agree with maconanddk. Manvel would be much better than anything IN Houston. Plus, it's just straight down hwy 288!
Prayers for you!

You may check with the medical center, they may have RV sites available on location. The hospital I work for has full hookups with 50 amp, water and sewer right on our campus. I believe it is free to patients at our hospital.
Most the hospitals in So. Idaho offer this on their campus, but they tend to have plenty of acreage on their properties.

Hi Scott,
I lived in Houston for two years but we were tent campers back then so I can't help you with RV park info. I just finished seven months of chemo and radiation and know how unsettling it can get at times. Just want to wish you the best along with my prayer that your treatment will be both tolerable and effective.
Blessings
Corrine

Sorry to hear about your illness but you might look at lakeviewrvresort.com .... I noticed it has free shuttle service to the medical center..
