How's Hwy 36 across Kansas?

Making a trip from Denver to St Joseph Mo. and want to avoid the interstate. Anyone have any experience on that route "

We have drove a little ways on 36, maybe two or three hundred miles. There is a nice little campground in Seneca KS, Stallbaumer RV park and campground. It's right behind a motel. It has 50amp plus cable, the price is right. It has a little pond, it's just a great little campground.
