If you travel I80 in illinois this summer

As you can tell by my user name I am an Illinois campground host. I will be hosting my fourth year at Johnson-Sauk Trail SRA, just 6 miles north of Kewanee, Il. There are 69 campsites with electric hookups. Sites 3 thru 31 are in 30+ foot pine trees, and 32 thru 72 are in a more open setting with board-leaf trees.
One of the most unique features of Johnson-Sauk Trail SRA is a large, round barn built in 1910 and located near the park entrance. The barn is available to be toured the 1st, 3rd and 5th Saturdays, May through October from 1 PM - 4 PM.
The Red Earth Café and Camper Store is open during the camping season. There is a 58-acre lake with a maximum depth of 21 feet with largemouth bass, crappie, bluegill, channel catfish and bullhead. Fishing is permitted by boat (electric trolling motor only) and along the shoreline.
It is a nice quite overnight stop on your way east or west along Interstate 80. The park is 6 miles south of Interstate 80.
Hope to see you this season I will be there May, July, August, and September, not June.

Interested. We're travelling back to Alberta in July and planning on a stop for a couple of nights while we visit friends in East Moline. I see you're less than an hour from there.

Headed to the BadLands and Custer later this summer. Traveling from the Detroit area. Plan to take I80 across. Might just stop in for a night or two. Do you recall what exit off of I80 we take? Also, I'll assume you can handle my old Georgetown 35 foot motorhome. Thanks for pointing this out.

Looks like it is Exit 33 (Annawan (Il78)) intersection.
Having read the reviews for this place it would appear that previous visitors had been there in a 37' MH as well as several 5ers.

Have stayed at Johnson Sauk many times. It is a great campground/area. We have stayed there with our 40 ft. 5th wheel in both the loop section near the playground/park as well as in the wooded areas. One thing to note is that some spots are not angled for backing in but require a 90 degree turn. Doable, just better with an experienced spotter as you will be in a ditch on one side while backing into your site. Once there the campground and trails are extremely enjoyable.
