We went to Wilson island last weekend. We stopped over to see the Bertrand. It was really neat to see that history. We had awesome weather too.

We're headed to the Delhi area this weekend to camp on private property, pulling up stakes Monday morning and hauling camper and atv's over to Hopkinton to ms Amy's sisters for her sons grad party the following weekend.

Taking off Monday morning for a few days in St Louis, then on the Dallas area for our Grandson's high school graduation. Best part of his graduation is he'll be a Hawkeye next year. What a treat, after all four of our kids went to the U of I, we finally have a grand child attending college just a few miles from us!

How smooth is I-35 thru Iowa?
Last I was on it, it was rough as a washboard.

It's not too bad, but fair amount of construction heading south from Des Moines. I think 35 is in better shape than 80 right now.

We've stayed at west lake and although it's a nice park they shut the gates at night, you can't get in or out without a phone call to the park ranger.
If we stay near the qca it's normally Scott county park the sister park to west lake.
