Kerrville, Texas

Would like to go to Kerrville, Texas. Anyone have any suggestions on good campgrounds? Jeane

There are several nice RV parks in Kerrville. Personally, we prefer staying at Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park in Fredericksburg. It's about 16 miles north of Kerrville. The rate is $30 a day or $175 a week.

We stay there a week in the spring, usually the week before Easter and a week in the fall. There are normally some fun things going on in town and sometimes at the park, like car shows and such. This year, the week of Easter is VW week. Several hundred VW's will be coming in to town. My wife is pretty pumped about that as she drives a Beetle Convertible.

Buckhorn Lake Resort just off I-10 at Kerrville is very nice. We spent the winter there a couple of years ago and loved the resort and surrounding area. We want to go back soon. Motorcycle riding there is awesome...lots of great "lunch rides" in the area.

X 2 on Buckhorn Lake Resort. When are you going? The Texas FROGs have a rally planned there in October.

I also give my vote to Buckhorn Lake Resort. We attended the first Texas FROG rally last October and have made plans for the second Texas FROG rally in October 2014. Very nice place and Trailer Life just rated it very highly. Good Luck

Yes, on Buckhorn Lake Resort nice resort and staff. We attended the Kerrville rally also, 75 rigs and a time to remembered. We are going again this year.
