Lake Murray state park ATV

We just completed a weekend at lake murray, Ok state park at the ATV area. Although they do not allow reservations and if is first come first serve, I called head Friday before we left out and was advised there were plenty of spots still open.

We arrived late Friday at around 730. After driving the area and check out all the spots we decided to go with spot 21, and easy pull through with plenty of room to move around. A down side to this spot is that it's right at the entry way and at night all the cars pulling in shine their lights directly at you while at the table.

I will say the park was in great shape and the park hosts were above par. The atv riding area allowed from some good times and I'm pretty sure we didn't even touch half the trails. Although there wasn't the best of swimming areas here, we were able to ride over to the other side of the lake and swim there.

I would highly recommend this place to anyone with atvs...

We're heading to Lake Murray tomorrow - Elephant Rock Campground, to be exact. Grandma and I are too old to ATV... but we do hike the trails on the west side.
