Funny you should mention, several PHrogs have talked of meeting in this area, as it is a central location to all of us. We'll be watching this thread for any input.

I was going to say "several Phrogs and a Troll", but thought better of it, given your delicate state of being.

Check/google Lithia Springs campground. It is located on the east side of Shelbyville Lake close to the dam on the east side. It is a fairly large park with lots of shade and very clean. There is a marina located just outside the park if anyone is interested in that. Although, I have not stayed there, I have visited friends who have. A very nice park. I attend an annual jet boat gathering on Lake Shelbyville every year and stay at Lithia Resorts just down the road. It is located approximately 15 minutes from the town of Shelbyville if pulling an RV.

I want to add that this is a very popular location and if you plan on going as a group, you need to reserve locations very early. As I stated above, I attend a boat gathering the first weekend of August every year and stay just down the road. For the past two years, this park had a "NO Vacancy" sign at the entrance to the park.

There are several nice state park and corps of engineer campgrounds there. We like Forrest Wood, Wolf Creek and Eagle Creek.
