I'll probably get flamed for this, but while we're on the subject of noise pollution...in MY OPINION, they should fire the guy who thought to put speakers and TV's on the outside of camping rigs. O.K., maybe I can see it if you're "tailgating" at your local stadium or race track, but in the middle of a National Forrest?

just because they are there, doesn't mean they have to be loud. Blame the owners, not the equipment. I keep mine at a level that can't be hear outside of my site.

My camping buddy is a leaf blower guy.....lol. Another reason I leave my bedroom AC fan on "on".

Well, you are correct. In fact, my last trip out I noticed a guy watching his outdoor TV and using headphones. I have outdoor speakers and TV mount and have never even tried them out.

I have an electric leaf blower and I will use it if I need to. It is not as loud as some of the high powered gas blowers. But understand, I want other campers to respect my peace and quiet and I will respect theirs. I used it on the last trip, during the middle of the day, after the mowing crew left. Even though they used their own blower, there was still dust and grass clippings on the patio and the sides of the TT. Did the job and turned if off as soon as I could, so I could have some peace and quiet.

I too get easily annoyed at certain noise things. Last camping trip people 4 sites down hung a sheet and played some sort of dancing thing with half naked guys and scantily clad women. I could see and hear it 4 sites away. It was loud enough that far away to annoy me. I also thought it to be very inappropriate. They shut it off somewhere around 1130 pm.

That said we do carry a leaf blower but do not use it much. It is typically used for only a couple of minutes to blow off the slides and roof before departure, usually somewhere in late morning. Don't usually fire it up for more than 5 min one time during a trip. Ours is also electric and not horribly loud. We play music but not loud enough to be heard off the site. We also trained our dog out of barking in the camper.... We have asked neighbors to tell us if he does bark because we don't want him too. As others said, I respect others right to quiet as much as I expect them to respect mine. I don't do anything I wouldn't want done by the campers next door to me. It's called the golden rule and so many have forgotten it.

Was this at Goshen ? I think I might know who these culprits might be.
