How do you keep your fridge cold in your fifth wheel on long trips? Do you run with propane turned on? Is it legal in all states? We will figure what route we will take once we get to Gilmer , North or south , Depends on weather in North. Looks like second or third week of May we should be leaving Gilmer .
Thanks again.

From Yellowstone to CA, I-80 west is an easy pull have done it several times. Consider hitting Carson City NV then onto US 50 west to the Sacramento Valley through Lake Tahoe. Beautiful! 50 west is also not bad. Lots of RVers use it to get to Tahoe. From Sacramento use 99 north to Yuba City. From Yuba City to the Redwoods consider traveling through the Clear Lake area to 101.

Yup!

Run with LP running the fridge.

You do need to shut off the gas when refueling the truck and when going through some long tunnels.

trip cut short

Well Just got back home from a 3000 mile round trip , Was trying to head out west along I 40 , towards Ca, Stayed in Gilmer tx for a for 4 days to visit family then headed north west past wichita Falls Trying to get to Amarillo and beyond, Hit some bad weather up in Vernon, They said it was going to be 70-80 mile winds and baseball size hail when we left. I guess bad time to travel with 35 ft fifth wheel. So headed south to beat the storm. Ended up in Waller TX for the night, Close to the Houston Area but not where it flooded. Had a lot of rain and lighting on the way.We got lucky on the winds and Tornadoes that went through the the center , Got up early and headed East on I 10 to beat the weather again. SO looks like we made a big circle around Texas then headed back to Florida. It was an experience. Did spend some time in the state parks springs once we got into fl. I see that the weather is still bad in Texas and hope everyone is safe that lives there.

Sorry you had to cut your trip short, but glad you made it home ok.
We have friends who went north for the 150th Golden Spike Ceremony and they are having snow. It's been a weird spring.
