We've been to Eisenhower State Park (probably our fav of these three), Lake Whitney State Park (were there during the Memorial Day Floods and had to leave because of flooding over the road into the park) and Lake Tawakoni. All three have pull thru sites and 50amp hookups. All three are close to fishing and boating. May be a little too cool to swim. We really liked spot #49 at Tawakoni because of how big the spot was, level concrete pad and neighbors on each side were a bit away. Its right off the main road but there was very little traffic

Lake Whitney State Park was nice with big spots, too. No concrete pads but level and roomy. I can't remember which spot we had but it was #26, 28 or 30 (pull thru) We had some friends parked across the road and there was LOTs of room for games, etc. Don't remember how many rv spots there were, just remember that there weren't a whole lot. There was a lot of space in front of our spot, too

And Eisenhower State Park on Lake Texoma near Denison, Texas... have been in spots 80 and 82 and have to say my favorite is 80 as it's very roomy, not so much for #82. Lots of good spots here but some would take some work to get level in.

We also stayed at Riverview in Colbert, Ok. It's off the very first exit in Oklahoma after crossing the Red River. It's new, clean, concrete pads, level, great options, not as much room as a state park but not nearly as crowded as one we went to in Fredericksburg. FABulous laundry and shower facilities, great little store and the friendliest staff ever. Well lighted so I could walk the dogs at night without a flashlight. There is a railroad track right around the park and it did bug us the first day but after the third day, we couldn't even hear it. They do have a great fishing area too. We stayed at the bottom of the hill in the new part because it was a little less $. They have some great spots with trees at the top of the hill but they did cost more. They also have a good swing/outdoor play area for kids. We were in spot #71, right by the storm shelter. We were there the week of Thanksgiving and they had a pot luck supper the Saturday after Thanksgiving Day but we weren't able to attend. (Really wanted to go) River View RV & Recreational Park - Home

Red River Ranch RV Resort in Thackerville, OK Exit 3 from the south or Exit 5 from the north off I-35. The operating partner is also a FR owner. I know because it's me. Check us out on facebook.

Riverview is off Hwy 75. Looked at the Red River Ranch RV resort video and it looks like a good place, too (really like the song playing on that video too!)

Try Sequoyah State Park in Oklahoma. Beautiful lake, horseback riding, and lots of hiking (and golf, too)!

I would not recommend Bastrop State Park right now. The fires really left it an eye sore (IMO), and when the trees burned, the hawks and other predators left, and the mice have taken over. They will literally run up your tires trying to get inside your RV while you sit there and watch from the camp fire.

This is heart breaking for me because I grew up camping there all the time. I have many fond memories as a child taking the dog and hiking the trails there. Maybe in 50 years it will recover. So sad.
