Looking for camping on a good fishing lake around 2 hours from Rockford IL

My Dad and I plus family ,camp all the time.He is getting older as I am.We are always looking to go camping on a good fishing lake .We are even thinking about doing seasonal camping.
I figure 2 hours is a good drive and close

Try Lake Shabbona S.P. Fair amount of fishing pressure on the lake, but a nice spot. You can rent boat/motor if you need and get bait. Nice spot, get a reserv

Try Moraine View State Park in Leroy, IL. It's a little farther than 2hrs but they do have a nice lake with campsites right on the bank, 4 I think. Fish from your campsite or hunt pheasant and deer when in season.
