Madison Wisconsin Campgrounds?
Looking for recomendations for campgrounds and things to do in Madison Wisconsin. We plan on being there for two weeks beginning the second week in August.

Just west of madison is a nice are called wisconsin dells, there is a cluster of stuff there and in baraboo. the dells itself has lots of touresti family stuff, but just outside it you get alot of reallince things like river tours, dinner cruises, canyon rides, highing bike riding all sorts of great things... but all that is outside of the town proper of wisconsin dells where you have the largest concentration of water parks in the world. so is crowded

No children with us on this trip, just the two of us. I'll be in class and staying at the university for the two weeks. My husband was looking for a campground to stay in the 5th wheel somewhat close to Madison so we can do some things in the evenings and weekends. I'll check out the Smokey Hollow Campground, it sounds close enough. Thanks so much for your reply's.

Good Morning,
We have stayed at Lake Farm Park on several occasions. It is a county park south of the Beltline Hwy near Monona. The facilities are limited but very nice. Electric service (30/50) only at each site. Clean restroom and shower facility and Wi-Fi throughout the campground. Also located on the Cap City Trail system which extends into Madison. . It has been very quite during our stays. Bing Maps bird's eye feature gives a nice detailed view of the campground and area.
