Maiden voyage Finally!

We bought our 2nd Sierra back in March and due to circumstances (work, truck problems etc..) we are finally taking the 355RE out of the yard!

We spend 1 week every summer on the Beautiful and "COOL" Frio river in South Texas. It's not but about 4 hours south of where we live. We meet with friends and family to float the cool spring fed river, eat, drink play dominoes and just do what you your supposed to do in the summer!

We stay at Parkview Riverside RV Resort. They are great folks and take real good care of you when you are there.

It is located about 70 miles south of Junction, Texas (I-10) on US 83. The Frio River area is a busy area in the summer with people escaping the heat to float and play in the cool water. There are lot's of places to stay..just almost have to have reservations this time of the year.

Winter Texans enjoy the area during the cold months. So if you venture deep into the Heart of Texas you may ad this to you stop over!

I'll add some pictures in the next few days!

You might check with the link for the site. I think they are mid 60's to 70 for high and maybe around 50 for lows. I live about 220 miles north so we are a bit colder. Their website has more information about folks staying extended times in the winter.

Now that looks interesting. Spent time in South TX in the 60s in the military. Have not been back since and it just might be time! Thanks!
