Well we successfully made our maiden voyage. We traveled to
Camping, Campground, Campsites | River Plantation in Sevierville TN this week. I figured it would be a nice getaway, not too close and not too far. My only worry was how the truck was going to handle in the mountains, especially never having towed anything as big as our 5er.
Things I learned:
The overdrive is a miracle going downhill.
Cruise control was more troublesome than just using my foot.
I use more non-christian words in rapid succession when lost.
Not only do I need to watch curbs, but restaurant signs as well.
Informing the fast food staff that "Yes I do know that I can't park that big thing there" as I try to figure out how to get back to the interstate while in Knoxville in the middle of the night, can be somewhat satisfying.
Google maps time estimation is not an accurate reflection of real driving time.
