We spend most of our time on the west coast of the lower peninsula, from Holland to Traverse City. The west side is very beautiful.
We have plans at several private RV resorts this summer including:
Ponchos Pond in Ludington A+
Silver Creek in silver lake (we run our trucks in the dunes too)
River Ridge in Stanwood
Hidden Ridge in Hopkins (only 20 minutes away from home, but nice)
Traverse Bay in Traverse City A++
Yes, the RV resorts are more expensive, but very clean and FULL hookups.
Let me know if you need more info on these options.

Our seasonal is at Hidden Ridge. I don't do State Parks very often. At 40' I don't fit in well. All the parks mentioned I have stayed in and are all great.
