Mountain View, Arkansas

We are in Sylamore Creek Campground in Mountain View, AR. Sylamore is on two levels, one just on the creek:

This lower level is beautiful, but the spots are really really tight and the road down to them is steep and narrow. I have a few more grey hairs than I did a few days ago.

The top level has full hookups where we are now. We were down on the creek, but had to move because we decided to stay longer and someone else wanted to travel that short, steep road to number 27.

Although they advertise wi-fi, it's spotty. Cell phone use is non existent.
The campground is clean and well kept. The owners are great folks. Oh and you can rent a canoe or kayak and get driven up the road nine miles, so you can kayak the White River back to the campground in about 3.5 hours.

I give this place a big thumbs up.

If you ever get back to the area,be sure to eat breakfast at least once at the 56,Arkansas cafe. Just up the highway from Sylamore just past Blanchard Caverns.

We drove past it, but vegan me finds it difficult to eat breakfast out. Our local guide spoke highly of it and eating there before she was vegetarian.

This is one of our favorite places to camp! We will be there 4th of July again this year if we have a new camper by then.

We are about 200 miles away from there right now having left New Orleans yesterday. We bought property there last year, so have 6 acres to park on.
I'm excited.
