Nashville Country Park

We are heading down to Nashville The 1st of April for a three week stay. Has anyone been to this park or have any suggestions for things to do in the area. We are planing to stay in the general area unless the weather stays cold then we are heading south until shorts,sandals and t shirts seem appropriate.
We may end up in the Gulf Shores area. Where is a good place not real fancy but can get a 40' DP in.

Two Rivers in Nashville esay on and off highway was there in March for four days nice campground and close to everything.

Thanks Sandpiper we made reservations last night at Country Park. Is it worth switching to Two River? WE are in the area for 2-3 weeks with no hard agenda. Just need a few weeks of warmer weather. WE still have snow on the ground.

We have reservations at Two Rivers for a week in June. I read the reviews for the local parks and Two Rivers seemed to be the best. Hopefully we can get some more first hand reviews of the CG's there.

Sandpiper, one of the biggest complaints I read about Two Rivers was there is some kind of bus depot next door and reviewers said it was noisy all the time. Did you experience that?

Most of the campgrounds in Nashville are right off the road and close to lots of tourist stuff. They are all right next to each other...lol.

I live in the area and haven't stayed at them, but would imagine that they all have to be somewhat noisy just based on where they are located. We like the state parks and recently stayed at Loretta Lynn's ranch which was interesting. Montgomery Bell State Park is west of Nashville and has sites large enough for a big rig.

Next week, it looks like the weather around here will be sort of chilly. We are looking for someplace warmer to head for spring break. Somehow 50 degrees for a high just does not seem warm enough for me. If it gets warmer than that, it rains. :-( We are so tired of winter.

Makes No diff.which one you use they are all across the road from a BUSY-Noisy Hiway 155. Eat at (Cock of the Walk),next to C/W down the street from your C/G. Youroo!!

That is true you do here the busses sometimes but we were in the front of the campground and did not notice it that much we did not now it was there till the second day when we saw the busses going in and you do get some highway nose. There is a camping world next to it to and a bass pro and a big mall just down the road.

We spent one night there at Nashville Country RV park in Feb this year.
Restroom/bath house was the nicest we've seen in a long time.
Downer was they are so close to I65. Even tho we had a little heater
fan running AND my wife's sound machine set on "waterfall" we heard the
drone of the all night truckers quite clearly. If you are a sound sleeper maybe
this is not a problem. The trucks were pretty loud to us.

I would think if you had a site as close to the river as you could get the noise would not be that bad. I have only stayed in hotels in that area but have driven through the campgrounds and they seem ok.
No offence Youroo but I have to say I would never eat at Cock of the Walk again

Well so far I'm not impressed. I'm not saying its a bad place but it is very tight. It is right next to I65 not real loud but their. A guy next to me like 10" next to me said its about the same as Two Rivers. The people are very nice and its a clean park but its not a great location. Not sure how long we are staying but not more than a week.

It's 5 minutes off the exit. They have LP a small pool and like I said nice people. It is working great for us as we wanted to play in Nashville and visit with family in Bowling Green. We will have a great week.

Laying in bed and you do hear every truck going by. We are right in the middle of the park. The sites along the "river" are all seasonal. Not. Sure what the attraction is to it but it has a lot of seasonal folks and they do love the place.
