Nashville Interstate Construction

We are leaving for Navarre FL in a couple weeks and have to go through Nashville. Does anyone know if they have finished the Interstate construction around Nashville? We were there last May and it was not fun.

I've been through there several times, and never had a problem. Which way do you take around the city?

Buddy,

Nashville is not so bad now - they have most of the PITA lane shifts done. We drove through there in DEC and did not see anything that would overly bug me pulling our 5er.

I-65 however...Birmingham is having a BIG DIG of their own. LOTS of construction just north of the City. W drove through 2 weeks ago with our 5er and it was "ok" both North (our direction) and South (they way you will come) no lane shifts but basically crappy pavement

It is a work in progress for at least the next year.

I-65 out of Brimingham to Montgomery is not under construction **but should be ** be prepared for 'mo crappy pavement..

Once you get South of Montgomery I believe the roads are typical Southern 4 lane blacktop

When we went thru Nashville last June the lane shifts about did me in! I am not what you call a real experienced driver so driving my 378 TS with lane shifts is something I don't want to do again. As someone told me once, cars will get out of your way - 18 wheelers won't!

Went to Nashville from Land Between the Lakes down I24. Only a few spots and not for long.

Nashville was ok last month if that helps. Louisville on the other hand was awful last week. Not sure if you are going that far. I don't think I have ever gone through Louisville when they weren't working on I 65. It cost me 45 min.

Fortunately we are not going through Louisville. You are correct there is always something go on with I-65. From the sounds of things Birmingham will be a problem.
